Sheryl Hunter is the President of Hunter Business Law, The Entrepreneur’s Law Firm®, which made the 2019 and 2020 Inc 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies in the US and the 2019 and 2020 List of Largest Women-Owned Businesses in Tampa Bay.
For over 20 years, Sheryl has worked with growth-focused entrepreneurs and their businesses, from start-up to exit.
Hunter Business Law also represents investors in early stage companies, including Florida Funders, TampaBay.Ventures, and individual angel investors. The firm’s services include start up entity formation, founder and employee agreements, customer and vendor contracts, intellectual property, private security offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other business law services.

Sheryl is an active participant in the Tampa Bay early-stage ecosystem, serving on the board of Synapse, speaking at educational events, hosting GirlTalkShop™ events for women in business, chairing the advisory board for Transitions Candles which benefits GEMS (Girls Empowered Mentally for Success), and volunteering for various initiatives to increase engagement by women in early-stage investing.

Recognized for her work, Sheryl was selected by her peers as 2020 Top Lawyer for business law by Tampa Magazine, received The Startup Weekly 2021 Woman in Business to Watch Award, and was awarded the 2016 Businesswoman of the Year for Legal Services by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
Sheryl is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and George Washington University and lives in Tampa with her husband and two children.
